Hello all,

As per my first post :USB not recognized

i sent my machine off for repairs 3 months ago, after a whole load of issues trying to communicate with the particularly moronic employees of PCWorld's Team KnowHow (may I recommend you all to steer clear of them) - my laptop has come back just as broken as when I sent it off. (With the exception of having all my data wiped - fantastic)

With this, is it possible to order a new motherboard and fit it myself as frankly this already sounds far cheaper and less stressful than dealing with the idiots that work in these widely accessible repair centres? Where could I get the technical information/specification for my machine and where could I order a replacement part?

Thanks a lot,

Sash

Hello,

Thanks for the advice but apparently my only option because I bought my machine from the UK is to contact Team KnowHow, who not only held my machine for almost 3 months, they sent it to the wrong location even after 6 phone calls to them (I spent a VERY long time on hold each time) - and it has come back more broken than when I sent it off, as I say the machine doesn't switch off normally and switches on maybe 1 out of 5 times (presumably doing more damage with each improper turning on or off) - if my ONLY option is to contact Team KnowHow I would much rather purchase a new motherboard and install it myself - it would be cheaper, faster and I wouldn't have to spend hours on hold again listening to awful music.

As such where could I purchase a new motherboard for this machine that I could put it in?

Regards,

Sash

Hello,

Thank you for the quick response, I got your message but I can't seem to respond to it as I've reached some sort of "private message limit" despite not having sent any messages at all and I'm unable to send you a reply

Sorry I feel like "I can't reply" is a really basic issue but I am a bit stumped as to what the website expects of me

Thanks,

Sash
