by "parts finder" do you mean PartSurfer?
You can find the part number in the Maintenance & Service guide
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06618421.pdf
The part number must match the description found in your notebook's display specification
33.8 cm (13.3") diagonal FHD, IPS, BrightView, micro-edge, WLED-backlit, multitouch-enabled, edge-to-edge glass and HP Sure View integrated privacy screen, 1000 nits, 72% NTSC (1920 x 1080)
Your notebok's specifications
Your notebook's HP support portal

Yes - parts.hp.com and it's in the uk. Thanks for the product book - i 'think' it's display with product code L96793-001, however, when i click on it my laptop model (ba0010na) isn't covered in the 'products using this part' list. Should i just assume it is it?

I always prefer using HP PartSurfer. It goes right down to the product number/name.
When desribing your notebook, always include the two digits and t if there is one. The two digits are the screen diagonal size and the t is touchscreen.
Otherwise, you make whoever it is you are requesting information about it to guess. Personally, I do not like to guess when researching or making technical recommendations.
Search with the means I described in my previous post if you are unsure. Choosing the correct screen can be tricky as there are different connector types on the screens. If you choose a screen with the wrong connector, if will not physically fit in the header on the notebook's system board.
I suggest contacting the UK seller directly to make certain that you get the right part.
When the seller recommends a specific screen, it puts the onus on them if a mistake is made in what they send you.
