I purchased the same ab292nr laptop and unfortunately, on my recommendation, my sister too purchased the same. I wanted to add an M.2 SSD, but on opening the laptop I found no M.2 slot. Manual mentions SATA3 M.2 drive as an upgrade option. Really ridiculous. I swear, I will never buy or recommend HP ever again.

@Antonysg,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from your post you need information related to M.2 slot available on your HP notebook. No worries, I'll be glad to help you.

After reviewing your post thoroughly, I did go through the Maintenance and service guide of your notebook and found that there is only one M.2 slot available for WLAN. There is no M.2 slot available for SSD on your notebook.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Hello @Jeet_Singh,

I know there is no M.2 slot for SSD in Pavilion 15-ab292nr. But your HP manual wrongly mentions M.2 SSDs as an upgrade option. @DavidSMP of HP has  referred to this manual and has wrongly recommended M.2 SSDs as suitable upgrade options. I was just pointing out the misleading post.

I'm am already totally disappointed after buying two of these non-upgradable HP laptops, but the kind of robotic customer care that you guys provide, without proper reference, is making the experience even worse.
