Which Laptop Ram should i purchase Single or Dual Channel or keep Both ?

I am Using Hp 15Q-DY0004AU with Ryzen 3 2200U Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx.
Below are some System Specs Acording to CPUz

Cpu --->  Cpu

Cache ---> cache

MainBoard ---> MainBoard

Memory ---> Memory

SPD  --->  SPD

Graphics ---> Graphics

i have

samsung 4gb DDR4 2666 single Channel in slot 1

i want to add 8gb RAM in slot 2

as per HP Customer Support they only mentioned that

DDR4-2400 Dual Support upto 16GB for Ryzen Processors with the following Configurations

16 [8GB x 2]

12 [8GBx1 + 4GBx1]

8 [8Gb x 1] or [4GB x2]

4 [4GBx1]

so which one should i purchase

The laptop runs the memory at 2400 mhz and HP specifies DDR4-2400 but you say it is using a DDR4-2666 module. I would add another DDR4-2666 module if you are sure that is what you have now. I would not be surprised if you do have DDR4-2666 but I would not mix DDR4-2400 and DDR4-2666. I would stay away from Kingston Value RAM as it does not play nice with HP systems. Corsair Vengeance is gaming type memory with aggressive timings I would also avoid. According to ads for the Adata you ask about it is optimized for Intel systems. The specified HP 8 gig memory module is a Hynix product which is stock OEM stuff. 

I know this is a bit pricier but a small cost to be sure of compatibility.

I might even suggest just adding a 4 gb module to have dual channel operation.
