HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb084no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. :generic: I got a HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb084no and want to upgrade it with an SSD (possibly also 4 or 8GB of RAM but it doesn't seem not that necessary for gaming). I have read the Maintenance and Service Guide and think it is rather unclear what types of dual storage configurations are possible and which SSDs you can use or it just me who doesn't get it.

Does this refer to what it is possible to have (what the computer can handle) or does it refer to what types of computers of this particular laptop series there are out there? If  it is the first one, it would mean that my computer which got a 1 TB (7200 rpm) hard drive would be limited to either a 128 GB or 256 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2. Correct? Would it then work with a Crucial MX500 CT250MX500SSD4 which has a capacity of 250GB? I also read a post by someone who got this computer and said it isn't possible to have an OS on a bigger drive than 128 GB but that poster wasn't so sure. Do you know if I can have Windows 10 on a 256 GB M.2 SSD?

Thank you.  :Halo:

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

The Hard drives listed are the Hard drives which have been tested and known to work on the HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb084n.

You can use the Crucial MX500 SSD but HP cannot guarantee the performance since this particular SSD has not been tested on this Notebook Model

There are no restrictions. You can install the OS on the 256 GB or 250 GB SSD Hard drive

Hope this helps 😊

Thank you for the answer. :generic: I bought and installed a Crucial P1 500GB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD (CT500P1SSD8) and 8 GB RAM. Everything looks great so far and I am now going to clone my HDD to my SSD. :Halo:
