Since your notebook's M.2 slot supports both SATA and NVMe (PCIe), you can use either type.

 

NVMe (PCIe) SSD's have much faster read/write speeds than the SATA M.2 SSD's have, so you would probably want one of those.

 

This appears to be a decent 500 GB NVMe SSD...

Chapter 1, page 2 has the supported drive types.

 

Your notebook's M.2 slot can support both SATA and NVMe SSD's.

suitable from 128 gb  to 1 TB. There are a lot of all kinds of them, which one I don't understand, or SATA or PCIe, can there be any other variations?
