At that time, my laptop was being serviced because the password was entered incorrectly. After the service was completed, every time I opened the camera, there was no lighting, even though there was before the service. In addition, my laptop cannot auto-rotate; my laptop is an "HP Pavilion x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14-ek2xxx."

Hi @vhenya,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the lighting in your laptop's camera!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Enhanced Lighting Issues

Check Camera Settings:

  • Open the Camera app on your laptop.
  • Go to the settings (gear icon) and make sure the HP Enhanced Lighting feature is enabled.

Update or Reinstall Camera Driver:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Cameras section.
  • Right-click your camera device and select Update driver. Follow the prompts to update the driver.
  • If updating doesn't work, you can also try uninstalling the driver and then restarting your laptop, which should prompt Windows to reinstall the driver automatically.

Auto-Rotate Issues

Check Auto-Rotate Settings:

  • Go to Settings > System > Display.
  • Under the Scale and layout section, make sure the "Rotation lock" toggle is turned off.

Update Motion Sensor Driver:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Look for the Sensors section or Human Interface Devices. It may list something like HID Sensor Collection.
  • Right-click the sensor and select Update driver.

Use the Action Center:

  • Open the Action Center by pressing Win + A.
  • Look for the Rotation lock tile. If it's active, click it to disable the rotation lock.

I hope this helps.
