The charge light is blinking white when AC adaptor is unplugged from the wall.  I don't know if this has to do with the recent software update which took place on 5/4/22.  How do I fix this?

A blinking white light near the charging port can usually mean that either the battery isn't connected properly, or the battery is defective. Try to see if your battery has been connected properly, if not then it could be a battery issue that is causing the constant blinking even when your laptop is not connected.

Update:  I noticed I didn't have the blinking light problem until I changed the Windows settings on my laptop from Sleep to Hibernate upon closing the lid.  I changed the setting back to Sleep upon closing the lid.  Voila!  No more blinking light.  Hope this helps someone else scratching their head over this problem.

UPDATE:

Changing the Windows setting from Hibernate to Sleep was not a permanent fix.  The charge light stopped blinking temporarily but it was blinking again in the morning.  I decided to take the computer into the shop and replaced the battery.
