Hi @JohnnyJoe8540,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your Victus by HP 16.1-inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 IDS Base Model with Windows 11, if you're looking for Wi-Fi cards that support Wi-Fi 7, there are some options that are theoretically compatible, although Wi-Fi 7 is a very new technology and it may take some time for HP to release widespread support for it in laptops.
Here are some Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) cards that could potentially work with your laptop, as long as they fit the M.2 2230 form factor (which is common for most modern laptops):
Intel Wi-Fi 7 (Intel 802.11be AX211)
- Intel has announced Wi-Fi 7 support in upcoming cards, such as the Intel AX211. These will likely become a standard choice in high-performance laptops.
Qualcomm FastConnect 7800
- Qualcomm’s FastConnect platform includes Wi-Fi 7 support, and the FastConnect 7800 is expected to support the new Wi-Fi 7 standard. Qualcomm's Wi-Fi 7 solutions might appear in upcoming modules that can be compatible with laptops like yours.
Broadcom Wi-Fi 7 (BCM4385 or similar)
- Broadcom’s upcoming Wi-Fi 7 modules, such as BCM4385, are designed to support Wi-Fi 7 and could be a fit for certain laptops with a compatible slot.
Important Considerations:
- Before purchasing any card, ensure the physical compatibility (M.2 2230 size and connector type) with your laptop.
- Make sure the laptop's BIOS/UEFI supports the card and it has the necessary drivers for Windows 11.
- Since Wi-Fi 7 is still emerging, drivers and support might be limited, and you may need to ensure the card has official support from the HP.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
