So I want to add a 1 TB HDD and also 8 more GB of RAM. Will I lose the warranty if I do so? Also, what RAM would be compatible with the current RAM installed?
Here's the laptop's page: https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c06414580
The RAM installed in the first slot is: Samsung M471A1K43DB1-CTD / 8 GB / 2666 Mhz / 1.2V / DDR4 / CL 19

@AdyExTrEmE Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you would like to upgrade the memory and hard drive.
I have checked the manual
Your product Support for up to 32-GB of system memory in the following conƭgurations
● 32-GB (16-GB×2)
● 16-GB (16-GB×1)
● 16-GB (8-GB×2)
● 12-GB (8-GB×1 + 4-GB×1)
● 8-GB (8-GB×1)
● 8-GB (4-GB×2)
● 4-GB (4-GB×1)
And your product support Hard drive + solid-state drive combination:
● 2-TB, 5400-rpm, 7.2-mm hard drive + 256-GB, M.2, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive with TLC
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, 7.2-mm hard drive + 512-GB, M.2, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive with TLC
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, 7.2-mm hard drive + 512-GB, PCIe solid-state drive
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, 7.2-mm hard drive + 256-GB, M.2, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive with TLC
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, 7.2-mm hard drive + 128-GB, M.2, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive with TLC
● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, 7.2-mm hard drive + 128-GB, M.2, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive with TLC
Upgrading the ram and hard drive will not lose the warranty.
I would suggets you contact local stores to install the ram and hard drive.
