Hello everyone!

I'm going to buy new 144/240hz monitor for my laptop, because I want to use big screen with my gaming laptop. My laptop has 144hz screen. Will my new monitor show 144/240hz if I connect it to my gaming laptop?  What cables would you reccomend to use?

Please, help me, I'm so bored in quarantine ❤️

Your machine has following ports which are suitable for monitors

  • High-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) v.2.0 + HDCP 2.2 supporting up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz
  • Mini DisplayPort™
  • USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port (left side; supports data transfer, DisplayPort 1.4 output up to 7680 × 3840 [60 Hz]
  • USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port with Thunderbolt™ Gen 3 technology (left side)

You can work this out but ONLY remember: refresh rates going up resolutions will go down.

For example : DisplayPort 1.4 output up to 7680 × 3840 [60 Hz] but resolution will be a lot less on 120Hz monitors and again a lot less on using 240Hz monitors.

Regards.
