Hp laptop 15-da0xxx

device =  Hp laptop 15-da0xxx
Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver N5000 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz
Installed RAM 4.00 GB (3.82 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
and i have only one slot for ram slot .

my laptop runs very slow and sometimes get freez . in one word very slow.
whenever i use any software the CPU uses very high . and ram usages too

so if upgrade it too 8gb ram is it worth it

My main work for this laptop is programing . i want to code smoothly and want to run coding related software smoothly.

SO IS IT WORTH IT ?

Yes because the RAM upgrade is not terribly expensive or difficult to do. Just keep your expectations low. It will help some but can't overcome the very serious limits of the processor. The only other thing I might suggest is if you have a mechanical hard drive for storage, upgrade to a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. 8 gigs of RAM and an SSD and you will get the most possible performance out of the laptop. Also consider changing the video effects to best performance. It makes everything look very clunky like Windows 3.1 but does speed up performance on ordinary tasks. Smooth coding is a very heavy ask for that machine and I am not sure even with these upgrades it is going to be something you can work with professionally.
