So I had a question if this SSD  would work for my laptop? IF yes is this a good choice?

Hi:

 

It should and yes, that is the best performing 2.5" SATA SSD currently on the market.

 

The WD Blue 2.5" SSD used to have the same specs, but they came out with a revised model (SA510) which has a 10 MBPS slower write speed than the Samsung 870.

The WD Blue drive used to be less expensive (by at least $10 - $15 USD) than the Samsung 870, but now the prices are the same.
