I am willing to upgrade my laptop's CPU. I currently have 'Intel Core i3 5010U' CPU. I am willing to replace it with a Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU which is better then that I currently have. Is it possible?

So it's impossible?

It is impossible to install a Ryzen processor in any notebook with an Intel chipset.

And if you look at the list of supported Intel motherboard for your notebook's model series, none of the motherboards listed come with a newer processor than the one you have now.
