Windows Update will not complete, asking for HP Pavilion Notebook to be uninstalled on the grounds of incompatability. I cannot find HP Paviulion Notebook in my laptop, and hence cannot uninstall it. So I cannot install the latest Windows 10 update

Found no way to uninstall HP Pavillion Notebook BIOS.
I cant even find such a thing.
HP support says I needed to upgrade the BIOS. I followed their instructions and did the upgrade install.
Now the upgrade for windows 10 wont even start as it now says there is an error!
It doesnt say what that error is or what to do to fix it!

I too had this frustration for a month and I finally solved the issue. I upgraded the BIOS from the HP website for upgrades and downloads. I entered my HP notebook name and serial number, found a drop down list to choose BIOS, the option to upgrade was listed in a drop down. I could not find the uninstall of the BIOS as suggested and that did not seem reasonable to do anyways! I hope this is helpful. The whole process to upgrade the BIOS and download the Microsoft Windows 10 app did take a few hours.

PARA LA ACTUALIZACION DE WINDOS 10 ME PIDE QUE REALIZE LA DESINTALACION DE HPPAVILIAN NOTEBOOK BIOS MAS SIN EMBARGO REVISANDO LOS PROGRAMAS DEL EQUIPO NO ME APARECE, PERO TAMPOCO ME DEJA ACTUALIZAR SE PODRIAS AYUDAR CON MI DUDA DE COMO REALIZARLO. GRACIAS
