I am ready to download Windows 10, but I have about 90 updates for Windows 7 pending. Do I have to download all the Windows 7 updates first or can I just download Win 10?

Hi:
As long as you have the required updates to install W10, you can proceed.
If you are receiving the notification to download W10 on your PC now from windows update, then you have the required updates.
As long as you have SP1, you don't even need to worrry about any updates for W7 if you make the W7 installation DVD from the link below and run the DVD from the windows desktop to upgrade to W10.
You want the media creation tool from the link below.
You should select skip the check for latest updates.
