Sorry CheryLG...Still the windows Windows 10 Updates Troubleshooter Tool from Microsoft only hide updates till the next start up of the machine. These updates will show again...
It is an HP issue that HP should work on ....

I, too, am having the same issues. In addition, I have followed the steps from the previous pages and have not worked at all. I looked at the Update History and it is showing under the Driver Updates and it is an HP issue and not Windows. I hope HP will resolve this soon.

Evidently they have corrected the issue. On the suggestion of another member of this forum I went to the Device Manager, clicked on System Devices/HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor (the failed drive update that has been causing the issue). Clicked on Driver Details, then clicked on Update Driver, Search for driver. It found the new 6.0.21. 1 driver, downloaded and installed it automatically (you will have to restart the system to fully install the driver). Ran the wushowhide file again to show the hidden update, guess what, it showed "You are all set, no updates are hidden". Then I ran Windows Update again with the update not being hidden and showed my system as being all current. Double checked the Devce Manager and it shows the 6.0.21.1 driver as being the one installed, so the problem must have been corrected. Great news!

I followed your solution, unfotunately, the message I got was "the best drivers for your device are already installed".
And then I searched for upadted dribvers on "windows update" and still got the same error message:
"There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:
• HP Development Company, L.P. - System - 5/26/2017 12:00:00 AM - 6.0.21.1 - Error 0x800f0247"
