Pavilion 15e016sv
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello to the HP Community. I have an HP Pavilion 15-e016sv notebook, with an Intel i5 3230M CPU, an AMD Radeon HD 8670M GPU and most importantly, a Realtek RTL8188EE network adapter, which by the way has 2 antennas. I have been thinking a lot lately to upgrade the networking card to a dual band card, with 2.4 GHz, 5GHz AND Bluetooth capabilities.

While searching the internet, I stumbled up Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, which also needs 2 antennas and is a PCIe card as well.

So, my question is if it is compatible with my laptop, as some models have only a specific whitelist of compatible networking cards. Searching the manual didn't return any results. Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Your notebook does not have a BIOS whitelist.

This would be the best wifi card for your notebook...

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0                HP Part #710661-001

The card is readily available on Amazon or eBay.

Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
