Hi,
I have been searching on compatible upgrades for my wireless card, currently it is a realtek RTL8723BE.
I found that this card only supports 2.4Ghz and I would like to upgrade to a card that can utilise the 5Ghz connection.
Unfortunately I am unable to find a sure upgrade online and that is why i have turned to this forum for help.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

OK, thanks.
There is one wifi card you can upgrade to, since your notebook only comes with one antenna wire.
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
You can find this model on eBay, or at the HP parts store for $16.50.

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723BE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.

Hi:
Open up the notebook and let me know how many antenna wires are connected to the Realtek RTL8723BE wifi card.
Some models have two and some models only have one.
It makes a difference on what model wifi card you can upgrade to.
Below is the link to the service manual.

Not without taking the whole notebook apart including the display panel in order to run the second antenna.
Plus you would have to buy the correct antenna kit for your notebook that is listed in chapter 3 of the service manual.
If you want to go through all of that trouble, then any Intel dual band wifi card should work, except the Intel 9560 AC.
