I followed your advice on everthing...It is the same. Did exactly what you said to do in your previous advice. Mouse sticks and stops. I thought it might be the browser so I am now on Microsoft Edge as opposed to Firefox, but it is still the same. I even turned off my cell phone thinking that maybe there is interference or something, but that didn't help either. Any more thoughts? Thanks for all your help.

Running on battery only...no change. Another data point though is that the mouse pointer stops dead when a web page is loading. Also, this is a mouse/keyboard wireless combo, so the keyboard is also affected by the "ailment". What has me baffled is I never had any problem with the keyboard or the mouse prior to the upgrade to the SSD. Also, keep in mind that when I plug in a "wired" mouse the same thing happens, so I don't think it is the mouse per se. Indeed, it happens when I use the touch pad on the notebook as well. Very frustrating as you can imagine. Once again, than you for taking this time with me.

Wait! I didn't run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics correctly. I am going back over your instruction and noticed I messed that up. I am going to run it correctly this time and get back to you with results. Sorry about that...be back after I run it. Thanks.

I just ran the diagnostics and everything passed. BTW, I am using the same mouse and keyboard right now on my new Beelink mini and everthing is aok. I'm going back to the notebook and I will send you the BIOS info.

Is this what you mean? Btw, now it seems that each time I restart my laptop, I have to designate Firefox as my default browser and duckduckgo as my search engine. Also, I have to turn on number lock on my keyboard to be able to use the numbers. It seems that the computer is not remembering my settings. Thanks, Mike
