Why does my wireless USB mouse stop working after resuming my HP laptop with Windows 10 from hibernation mode? After it gets out of hibernation, the mouse doesn't work until I unplug the dongle and plug it into another USB port. If I plug it into the same USB port, it also won't work (at least not until I plug it into another port).

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
- Have you tried updating the USB drivers?
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi. There were no recent software updates and the device drivers are up-to-date. The laptop in question is an HP 250 G6. This issue might have something to do with Windows suspending power to USB ports during hibernation, according to some people I talked to.
