In my HP ZBook 14u G6 Mobile workstation i need to add additional SSD .
I looked at the configuration & found that there is small SSD slot for M2 SSD.
What kind of M2 SSD I can use & what is the maximum capacity SSD I can install.
This slot seems to be a smaller one that the existing SSD installed at this moment.

There is a single M.2 SSD slot next to the battery. The other PCIe/M.2 slot you see is probably the one for a cellular modem (WWAN) and cannot be used for a storage SSD. Page 46 of the Service Manual has a pretty good view of the internal layout. The M.2 SSD slot is in the middle left above the battery and the Wi-Fi and WWAN card slots are in the upper left corner. Is one of those the slot you ask about?

You need to find out the size of M.2 slot you have, the most common are 2280, 2260, and 2242. Any brand and capacity of SSD should work fine you'll just need to find out if that expansion slot supports both SATA and PCI-E based SSDs, or just one or the other.
