I'm having the exact same issue as Marcus noted. Either fried charger or port. Won't take a charge, cooling fan kicks on ultra high gear at minimal usage times, etc.  Tried finding a replacement charger, none exist from HP...or, should I more specifically note "backorder" for as long as I have owned this machine.  I've also noted some software and glitching with performance (extra lag time, fan going full blast for much longer than it ever did, etc). I spent just as much as Marcus and feel my investment is subpar to say the least. I had similar experiences with hp Printers. God-awful and customer service and technical support is a joke. I'll be trashing this laptop, just like I did with the last 2 printers I bought from hp, and will be switching fully over to Mac.  What a joke... so sad.
