HP Notebook - 15-f387wm (Touch)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I plan on changing my network adapter soon and while I was in there I figured I would kill two birds with one stone.
I was wondering if it would be possible to change the CPU and RAM on the mobo. It's technically an AMD A8-7410 APU with Radeon R5 Graphics.

The socket is listed as a FT3 (BGA769).

I was wondering if the CPU (or APU) for this matter could be changed. Are there any standard form-factor CPUs that would be compatible with this socket?

The RAM is one standard stick of 4GB DDR3 RAM in single-channel mode running at about 800MHz.

Is it possible to change this?

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04763999

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

According to the manual, 2 x 4 GB of memory is supported, although the Crucial memory report indicates that 2 x 8 GB of memory can be installed.

The CPU/APU is an integral part of the motherboard (soldered to it), and cannot be upgraded.
