Hello, forum,
I'm looking for SSD upgrade recommendations from 256 to 512 GB for X360 Spectre, model 13-4193DX.
Found Samsung MZ-VLW5120. Is this is a good match? If not, please advise on the possible alternatives.
Thank you very much!
Oleg

Hi, Oleg:
Does your PC have an NVMe M.2 SSD installed now?
The reason I ask is because according to chapter 3, page 20 of the service manual, HP only offered SATA M.2 SSD's in the model series.
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates PCIe (NVMe) support only for the Spectre Pro model series.
I am thinking that a NVMe SSD would not work in your notebook.
Google the drive model number of the SSD currently installed (you can find that under the disk drives device manager category) and see if you can find any details on it.

Paul, thank you for the quick reply!
The current SSD install in my machine is Samsung MZ-NTE2560.
In your opinion, what would be the best SSD 512 GB match to HP part # 801504-001?
I'm struggling to locate one.
Thanks again!
Oleg
