i am really frustrated with this hardware reserved ram causing a lot of lag amd trouble in my notebook ...i installed extra ram so that it could run smooth and faster but **bleep** didnt help because of the hardware reserved ram...i currently have 8gb ram from which only 5gb is available....i need help removing this **bleep**ty reserved ram ..please helpp!!!

Hardware devices can reserve large blocks of physical address space... To see if a piece of hardware is reserving a large chunk of physical address space, launch "devmgmt.msc", select Resources by Connection in the View Menu, and expand the Memory node.

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

 

Click Start, type msconfig in the Search programs and files box, and then click msconfig in the Programs list.

In the System Configuration window, click Advanced options on the Boot tab.

Click to clear the Maximum memory check box, and then click OK.

Restart the computer.

 

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link.
