Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
Did you check the HP Parts surfer for part number of hardware components tested & approved by HP?
If you haven't, here's the 2 Ram modules approved by HP:
862397-855 - 4GB, 2400MHz, PC4-17000, 1.2v DDR4 SODIMMN-N/A-COMPLY_2.06
862398-855 - GNRC-SODIMM 8GB 2400MHz 1.2v D
You can either order them at the local online retailer or at the HP Parts Store: Click here to access it.
That said, HP does not recommend replacing the ram on your own, although, if you wish to proceed at your own discretion: Click here for steps (Page.81)
For more details: Click here (Generic notebook)

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
I understand you are in need of support,
I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:
What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
Could you elaborate as to what you need?
And Did you run a hardware test on the device using the F2 key during a restart? to identify the errors.
Please reply with the details for further assistance.
Eager to help!
