Hello @BigWaveDerek
Use another computer to create <USB flash drive>
HP Notebook System BIOS Update | F.30 Rev.A | 16.0 MB | Mar 19, 2018 | Download |
Follow --->>> BIOS Recovery Reinstall with USB
Keep me updated
Kind regards

a few questions prior to doing this:
1) should the flash drive be empty of all other stuff?
2) I'm assuming it doesn't have to be an HP Computer... I'm just downloading software to be installed on my broken HP correct?
thank you so much again, and I will let you know

Hello @BigWaveDerek
You're welcome !
(1) <USB Flash drive> should be empty and formated (FAT file system)
(2) You can use ANY computer running Windows
Kind regards

I made the flash drive, but thought I would try the bios recovery options in the video that you linked, and the windows button and holding the B key at the same time worked.... it's auto recovering the system BIOS now! that seemed to work... now it says it's restarting and not to touch anything, but nothing is working yet and it's been 5 mins... I'll keep you updated

it didn't do anything after 30 mins... I watched the video and after a few mins different things are supposed to pop up, nothing ever did... I just tried window key and B key and all the other combos... nothing worked. I'll do the flash drive now and hopefully that fixes it...

we are up and running! thank you again for your patience and help! I'm doing a restore point now! would you recommend anything else that I do since it's good right now! just so that you know, I put in the USB flash drive and it wouldn't boot from windows & B Key (I tried twice)... so I tried windows & V key and it brought up the screen saying that my bios had been recovered! it then finished and it works... very strange but I'm thankful... hopefully this helps others!
