I am interested in upgrading the ram on my laptop. I currently have 16g and would like to upgrade to 32g. The model number for the laptop is 17-by1053dx and the motherboard is HP 8530 version 17.21.  If this is possible, please advise the specific type of ram that I need to purchase.

It has  8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) now (16GB ?) and you can upgrade to 32GB using compatible RAM such as
