@Qbek
I´m sorry but the Elitebook 2570p was released in 2012, which means its an +8 year old device. So speaking from a "Common Problem" would be not ok (I would say) as multiple devices would be affected directly in the year 2012 by that issue, which would have caused a pull back from HP or something else like that. But as the issue came up after 8 years I would say its a general "its an very old device" issue and has nothing really to do with the quality from such devices as 8 years are quite a very long time frame. By the way HP offer the normal warranty from some years and then you can upgrade the warranty to additional years (if you pay for it). But not to 8 years and I think no vendor would offer a warranty for that (or even longer) time frame. That you still can buy a new battery for the Elitebook 2570p still shows how good the quality is, otherwise nobody would produce such a product if there aren´t still multiple Elitebook 2570p in use (which do not have that issue here, so it couldn´t be that common).
Trying to find the broken part on the circuit board might not working, as you need special equipment to replace the parts (e.g. micro soldering station). You often can grab a used Elitebook 2570p for 100-150 on ebay.
However what you can try to update the firmware and drivers to the latest known version (see here a list for Drivers and Firmware for the 2570p for using WIndows 10).
