Hi,
the updates assistant shows me in the battery section: "Calibration required"
The accu test, show three hours charging at 100%, then run the test again.
Well, the power adapter is already over three hours connected and the message is still there.
Warranty is until october 2021, but I had only a few change cycles. (The device is not used every day.)
I tried a calibration over the hardware diagnostic tool via F2 at startup. The callibration took several hours and the battery still requires a recalibration. The UEFI hardware diagnostic tool says callibration required and the hp support assistant too.
What now, is this a faulty battery ?
This issue must be unter warranty.

I tested now the PC Hardware Diagnosic Tool 1.6.4 .
The batterie test is "canceled" after a few seconds. But why was the test canceled by itself?
The tool was my last hope, bios diagnostic failed to create a report and the hp support assistant just saying calibration required.

Hi@car31,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.Apologies for all the inconvenience.
We understand that issue with the battery giving the message "Calibration required"
Check for the Windows up to date?
Check for the BIOS up to date?
Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps
I have a few steps listed below that should help you resolve this concern:
Unplug the charge and use the laptop until the battery drains to 15%.
Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30mins.
Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager:
1) In the search box, type and open “Device Manager”.
2) Expand “Batteries”.
3) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.
4) Click on “Uninstall”.
5) At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver
6) Shutdown the computer.
7) Remove the battery for minute and then put it back in.
😎 When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.
9) Go to Device Manager.
10) Expand Batteries.
11) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.
12) Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"
Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.
Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.
