HP Mini 100e Education Edition
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I got a hp mini 100e off ebay and the bios are lock. You need a password to get into them. How do i delele the password or get around it. I tried to unplug the cmos battery for a hour and didn't work. I tried software and can't do it either. Hope someone can help.

When asked for the password, just hit enter 3 times.

Post any code you receive.

You have one memory slot on the bottom of the Mini.

Shut down.

Remove MAIN battery.

Remove Accessory Cover.

Remove Memory.

Now you should see some black plastic, covering the system board under the memory.

Peel back the black plastic and look to see if there are some gold contacts that look like this.

If you do see them use a small flathead screw drive to short them.

Do it a few times before checking if it worked.

I would allways do it 3-5 times before I would check to see if it removed the password.
