I wonder if this update has broken something??????? Can failed bios update harm the laptop ? I dont see anything specific....but i cencern.....

To answer your query,
No, you don't have to worry about it.

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand the BIOS update failed,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you check the HP website to find the updates of your choice?
If not, Click here to find and install the same.
And if you have trouble updating the BIOS, Click here for instructions.
The reason it didn't get installed could be because there are no updates released for your device as it wasn't required,
(if you know the update was interrupted, you may use the above links to reinstall it)
That said, I must let you know that the updates are only released to either fix/repair an earlier version or to make changes to it,
If there's no requirement of any change, there wouldn't be a release.
Do get back to me as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve,
That said, If I have helped you resolve the issue,

Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
As long as your laptop is turning on and you are able to work on it, without any performance issues or otherwise, your laptop is not broken.
That said, as I mentioned earlier, the BIOS updates are only installed if and when you have any specific issues and if your laptop is working fine, you do not have to install it, just ignore the update.

So i shouldn't try to install it anymore ? i dont see any performance issues....but how can i know ?
Why did they give the update if i dont need it ???? i am confused......should i try oance more to install it by turning off my antivirus ?
i think that after the failed update i see performance issues....but i am not sure...is it possible ?

Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
As mentioned before, the updates sent to you are not specifically designed for your serial number, they are designed for your model name/series,
Hence, it may work for one person while it wouldn't for another, that said, as long as you don't have any issues with the computer, you do not have to install the update.
Also, if you feel like there are issues with performance: The best way to resolve that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:
Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
I hope that answers the questions.
