Omen 17-cb0000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Absurd !!! I purchased a 17 inch gaming notebook from the Omen series for € 1,500. After a month I expand the memory by purchasing a 32 GB 2666mhz kit, the RAM requires the activation of the XMP profile from the BIOS in order to go to 2666 MHz and I find with bewilderment that the HP in a gaming notebook decides to use the BIOS not change the legitimate owner to modify the various options of the bios, not even the simplest and most essential for optimal performance. Never happened in any desktop PC but not even in a € 300 notebook. Absurd! I don't care about having a neutered notebook ...! Never again Hp neither as PC nor for any other existing product! I will make all the negative reviews possible anywhere from the start and I will turn to consumer associations, everyone must know that HP offers full and total use of the PCs purchased to the legitimate owners. It is impossible that you do not have the ability to access the BIOS. You will have my news.

@gicus Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to access the BIOS.

HP has locked a few settings on your computer which are being managed by the system configuration as the device is configured to its optimal performance.

There's no way of resetting or changing these locked settings via HP articles or assistance,

You could unlock and make changes at your own discretion using 3rd party tools, however, HP doesn't recommend the same nor has information about the tools used.

I hope you understand.
