@XX122, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Camera and Microphone Issues on HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-a0059cl!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I can imagine how frustrating it must feel when your camera and mic vanish like ghosts, especially when you're gearing up for a call or meeting.

Since they don’t appear in Device Manager at all, it points to a possible hardware detection issue. Here are a few steps that might help bring them back:

Power Reset:
Shut down your laptop completely, unplug the charger, and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Then restart and check Device Manager again — sometimes a simple reset wakes up hidden devices.

Enable Hidden Devices:
In Device Manager, click View > Show hidden devices. Sometimes Windows tucks things away without notice.

Check BIOS:
Restart your laptop and tap F10 to enter BIOS. Look for settings related to the integrated camera or microphone and ensure they’re enabled.

Windows Updates & HP Drivers:
Run Windows Update and open HP Support Assistant to check for the latest drivers and firmware — especially chipset and BIOS updates.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
