@shivam-singh, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your laptop camera is not working on Windows 11. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Camera Privacy Settings

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Privacy & security > Camera.
  3. Ensure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned ON.
  4. Scroll down and make sure the specific app you're using (e.g., Zoom, Teams) has camera access enabled.

Restart the Camera App

  1. Close the app using the camera.
  2. Reopen it and check if the camera works.

Use the HP Hardware Diagnostics Tool

HP provides a built-in tool to test your camera:

  1. Press Esc repeatedly while turning on the laptop to enter the Startup Menu.
  2. Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  3. Select Component Tests > Webcam Test and follow the on-screen instructions.

Update or Reinstall Camera Driver

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
  3. Right-click your camera and choose Update driver.
  4. If that doesn’t help, right-click again and choose Uninstall device, then restart your PC. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Run Windows Update

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  2. Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
