@shivam-singh, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your laptop camera is not working on Windows 11. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Camera Privacy Settings
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to Privacy & security > Camera.
- Ensure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned ON.
- Scroll down and make sure the specific app you're using (e.g., Zoom, Teams) has camera access enabled.
Restart the Camera App
- Close the app using the camera.
- Reopen it and check if the camera works.
Use the HP Hardware Diagnostics Tool
HP provides a built-in tool to test your camera:
- Press Esc repeatedly while turning on the laptop to enter the Startup Menu.
- Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Select Component Tests > Webcam Test and follow the on-screen instructions.
Update or Reinstall Camera Driver
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
- Right-click your camera and choose Update driver.
- If that doesn’t help, right-click again and choose Uninstall device, then restart your PC. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
Run Windows Update
- Go to Settings > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
Use HP Support Assistant
HP Support Assistant can automatically detect and fix issues:
- Download or open it from here: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
