Product: hp pavilion dv6t 6100 cto quad entertainment notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been wondering if the 1600mhz one would work on my laptop? i dare not to experiment on parts sincr im not an expert pls help me out though

It may accept and work with 1600MHz RAM but will run at 1333MHz RAM as designed.

but it may also not work am i right? what effects will that do to my motherboard when it does not work?
