can i upgrade the cpu on the HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-a071a (Touch) and i already have 16gb ram, can that be upgraded to 32 gb. thanks

You're very welcome.
According to the memory upgrade specs on that link I posted the other day, the max memory is 2 x 8GB.
Perhaps the PC will support 2 x 16 GB of memory though.
You can run this command to see if that would be possible:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Ater the command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
If the report indicates that you can install 2 x 16 GB of memory, then this kit has a good chance of working for you:
Crucial 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT2K16G4SFD824A | Crucial.com

According to the product specs and motherboard processor upgrade info, your PC has the best processor HP offered in that model series.
There are no better processors you can upgrade to.
