Hi Harshal2827!
Short answer: YES, you can use a PCIe SSD on this laptop.
Long answer: As pointed out by Paul_Tikkanen EXPERT Level 21 on this 2021 thread https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Upgrade-SSD-M-2-HP-15-bc401la/..., HP official information and documentation is inconclusive (if not completely all over the place). The only way to be sure is to actually hear or read that a user successfully upgraded these laptops to PCIe SSDs. Therefore, I believe that this youtube video of the upgrade with a Crucial P5, where it runs fine, is the conclusive evidence you need.
