after opening your zip file i got the following message(we couldn,t install this update, but you can try again (0x800f0983).
but i am confused,because when i put run (winver) i get message showing windows 11 version 25 h2 (os build 26200.6725) already instaiied on machine. i have automatic updates turned off on this computer.

Sounds to me like your PC already has the first release of W11 25H2 installed.
The current version of W11 25H2 as of the other day is now 26200.6901.
You can confirm another way to see what version of W11 your PC has by going to Settings>System>scroll all the way to the bottom>About and then under the Windows Specifications section it should indicate the version of W11 your PC has installed.
If it is 25H2, I recommend you install the latest update:

Hi:
I would get the latest 25H2 build via Windows update (you would have to turn on auto update again), but you can also download it from the Microsoft update catalog.

Now I am getting error code 0x800f0983 for two updates, ( 2025 -10 cumulative update for windows11, version 25h2 for x64- based systems(KB5066835) (26200.6899), and 2025-10 cumulative update for windows11,version 25H2 for x64-based systems ( KB5070773) (26200.6901)

Sorry, yes you want the second file.
I wouldn't be able to help you with any windows update error codes.
Those are Windows/Microsoft issues and the best thing to do would be to google the error code and see what recommended fixes turn up.
Try the standalone update from Microsoft first.
