We are on different time zones, so I didn't see this until morning, my local time 🙂
As long as he purchases the HP P\N version of the CPU, it should be fine.
As you noted in the older thread, this quantum leap has been made successfully before, although it was in a high end notebook model's systemboard and not his model.
I see exactly what you mean. This model G6 notebook has one of those oddball illustrated parts manuals that breaks the systemboard options down with strange descriptions that seem unique, rather than straightforward as usual, and that certainly makes it difficult to understand.

According to Intel, the Intel Core i7-3632QM is a 3rd Generation CPU. A 4th Gen. unit is unlikely to be a viable candidate. You will have to check the BIOS updates to see if 4th Gen CPUs will work. I just checked. 4th Gen CPUs are not compatible. There were no BIOS updates done to allow the code to work with the systemboard your notebook has.
Acquiring PC components for an upgrade will be completely done by yourself. We have provided you with the relevant information.
Acquiring components for other members upgrades is beyond the intended purpose of the forum.
