I want to get a docking station but can't find any definitive answer about whether I can charge my pc through the USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge).  I've read that "Power Delivery" may mean I can if I get a sufficiently powered docking station.  But no one seems to say for sure.  Thank you.

You can see your machine has USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) therefore you CAN NOT charge it using USB-C because it does NOT support Power Delivery. Sleep and Charge means it can charge other devices such as phones or tablet when it sleeps.

Regards.
