when i plug in the charger and battery when shut down the light will be orange indicating it is charging. i can boot with or without the charger attached. if i boot without the charger attached when i plug it in nothing happens. no light no charging. when i have the charge light i can remove and replace the battery and the charge indicator light will indicate as either charging, present or abscent. when the battery is present and charging if i remove the charger and replace the charger it will not power the device until the system is rebooted without the battery installed. i have replaced both the battery and the charge port.
