Hi, @hamildinger
I have two HP 255 G7 notebooks with the A4-9125 processors.
They are the HP business class equivalent of your notebook.
W11 runs just fine on both notebooks using the method I had posted in that link to bypass the W11 hardware checks in order to run W11.
If you go to the device manager, click to expand the Processor device manager category, you should be seeing two AMD A4-9125 processors listed there, meaning they are dual core.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
According to: (88) HP Notebook 15-db0088ca Test Run w/SSD - YouTube, your laptop is fitted with an AMD A4-9125 processor. If this is the case, unfortunately, this processor does not* meet the minimum system requirements for Windows 11, which include a 64-bit processor with at least 2 cores, a clock speed of 1 GHz or higher, and support for certain security features such as TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
If instead you have another AMD processor you believe to be Windows 11 compatible, please let me know.
Please note that Windows 10 continues to be a great version of Windows. Microsoft is committed to support Windows 10 at least through October 14th, 2025.

Things to do anyway: update your BIOS: Check here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-db0000-laptop-pc/20395843, to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system: for example, the latest BIOS version for your laptop is: F.40 Rev. A, released January 10th, 2023. Updating BIOS may help to correctly identify the number of cores in your processor.
It is also worth to note that the aforementioned HP's drivers link for your laptop does NOT offer drivers specifically intended for Windows 11.
[EDIT:] However, despite whatever processor you got, you should be able to install Windows 11 by using the method as described by @Paul_Tikkanen, here: Re: Issues upgrading to windows 11 - HP Support Community - 8517912.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
