touchscreen notebook

HP touch screen notebook model 15-bs013dx has top case that is cracked and coming apart over the left hinge.  It is less than 2 years old, but of course the warranty is expired.  It has always been "stiff" opening and closing which put too much stress on the hinges.  I have noticed in previous threads that many other people have had the same problem and that HP has been cooperative in repairing this, since it seems to be a manufacturing defect.  Hoping that they will see this and take care of mine also.

Thank you for the reply, but the link circled me back to the support page I had already used.  I really need to know how to get HP to repair this.  I took it to the local repair center and they just said the best solution would be to buy a used notebook and move my hard drive into it.  That's not something I am comfortable with doing.  If I have to buy a different computer, I will buy a new one and not another HP after having this problem, although I have been very satisfied with it otherwise.

I called the number you sent me.  Never got to speak to a real person because there was going to be a $59.95 charge to answer a "tech question". I do not have a tech question, my issue is a broken hinge and case.  There were no other options given on the recorded menu.  Can you please have someone reach out to me by email to get this repaired?
