Hi,
Does my HP-AR003TU laptop has an M.2 SSD port? If yes could you please let me know where is it in the motherboard. If not is there any option to install an SSD in this laptop ? what kind of SSD drives supported?

Only if you also buy an adapter plate to put the M.2 in the hard drive slot. Look at p. 47 of the Manual as I asked above:
Solid-state drive board (includes cable) 822347-001
You need parts shown here
The part can be hard to find. I do not belleve the HP Parts Store stocks it currently.

Here's the Manual:
See p. 47. There is no M.2 slot. You can put an M.2 in with an adapter board but if you have to do that you might as well just install a 2.5 inch SATA SSD in place of the hard drive. That takes no added hardware and the speed of the 2.5 inch SATA SSD is the same as a SATA M.2 disk.
Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if its the info you needed.

Hi Huffer,
Thanks for the reply.
I can see at page no.3 of the manual that 5th and 6th generation Core supports M.2 SATA-3 SSD.
Currently, my device has a 1 TB SATA HDD, and I bought Crucial MX500 500GB M.2 Type 2280 Internal SSD, by the recommendation from Crucial http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/hp-14-ar003tu. Will I be able to use the same in my laptop as per Page 3 of the manual mentioned?
Thank you for helping me in this matter

JinJo
