i have a hp 830 g5 and i wanted to know if my laptop have another internal HDD slot or i have to continue using my hard disk via SATA cable . I was planning to put that second harddisk inside the laptop , but didnt know if it had gotten a slot to put

Hi:

 

Your notebook has one M.2 NVMe SSD slot.

 

There are no options to install a second NVMe SSD or a 2.5" hard drive.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive configurations:

AFAIK your HP 830 G5 has only one slot for its M.2 solid-state drive (2280). 

There is no HDD inside  of your laptop.

 

Laptops that are 15" and smaller rarely have space inside to add a second disk.

Hi!

 

The option for 2.5" SATA storage was present up until the 820/840 G4 generation, then unfortunately HP considered it obsolete and completely removed it. So 840 G4s did in fact have dual storage.  Therefore, Paul_Tikkanen EXPERT Level 21 is correct that this generation of the Elitebook 830s lacks any kind of option for second storage.
