Your machine has 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA now. You can add M.2 SATA SSD to your machine using Crucial MX500 or Samsung 860 series to your machine. For example

You would need following parts before you can add M.2 SSD.
- Solid-state drive bracket part # L20458-001
- Solid-state drive connector board part # L22542-001
- Solid-state drive cable part # L20456-001

thank you. im still have questions. there is m.2 of different shape a square one and a rectangler narrow shap m.2 ssd. which one works for my laptop. also which one on this amazon list can you recommend samsungAmazon product

Hi,
You do not need any extra parts to install an M2 SSD in the notebook. It supports M2 SATA3 and much faster M2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Examples:
On page 47 of service manual you can see the steps to install the drive

you will need to reinstall the OS on the SSD for performance gain.
