does probook 4540s have internal compass  ?

Using GPS (select models only)

 

Your computer may be equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) device. GPS satellites

deliver location, speed, and direction information to GPS-equipped systems.

For more information, see the HP GPS and Location software Help.

 

Look for one of these 2 devices in Device Manager under Network Adaptors.

 

● Sierra MC8355 HSPA/CDMA with GPS

● Ericsson 5321 HSPA+ with GPS

I did as you suggested.

Neither one of those two listings for present in device manager under network settings.

 

Sierra MC8355 HSPA/CDMA with GPS

 

Ericsson 5321 HSPA+ with GPS

 

You the man. I've been tearing my hair out for a long time and at the tender age of 75 I don't have too much left.

wow thanks again

 

I plan to use my ipad or iPhone for my Mac laptop to see if one of those three things has a built-in compass
